I used to dread Mondays. Getting up early to snag

I used to dread Mondays. Getting up early to snag my workout in, then it was the hustle and bustle of getting myself and the kids up, ready, fed, and out the door in order for everyone to be on time to their perspective destinations. It was a lot and it felt like I was always behind.

However, I have a much different approach to Mondays now. I'm still an early bird but I spend my mornings being intentional. I enjoy a cup of coffee, probably get in a workout, and then it's time to set the kids up with their schoolwork. I don't have to rush to meetings because I don't plan them early on Mondays knowing everyone needs a slower adjustment period.

I know plenty of business owners who only work on their business on Mondays. I know some who take Mondays off. I know some who pack their Mondays full. THAT is the beauty of owning your own business, you create your days, your workflow so that it fits your life. Not making your life fit into some box.

Tomorrow we enter the second quarter of 2021. This quarter will bring warmer weather, the start of summer break, and opportunities for your business. Do you feel ready for this change? Even more: does this change in season impact your business at all?

Guess what? This gal is all about saving time and space each quarter to identify what my values are, where my time should BEST be spent, and what I can shift to keep this business in alignment with my mission and vision. In order to keep your business moving forward while staying in alignment with your goals you need to review where you've been versus where you're going.

For me, that meant rearranging the project availability I have, the amount of consulting clients I can support and to save time to enjoy the summer with my kids [yes, I am just as shocked as you are that I am looking forward to MORE time with them]. If I don't begin to make changes in my business -now- then it will not be ready for the shifts in June.
